The nano3G system is an entire 3GPP Radio Access Network which integrates with any existing 3GPP core network via the standard Iu interface. nano3G consists of three components:
Picocells – nano3G Access Points (APs) are wall-mounted base stations connected to IP backhaul and powered over Ethernet.
Controller – the 3G Access Controller (AC) handles and routes all traffic between the APs and the existing core network.
Manager – provides all the facilities needed for operating and maintaining the picocells and Access Controller. It collates alarms, manages performance and handles configuration.
