The nanoBTS picocells are complete GSM basestations that use the standard Um interface to the handset and an Abis interface carried over IP for the backhaul. Pop the basestation in. Connect to the BSC. You’re up and running.

Choose from two types:

nanoBTS for GPRS/GSM – one of the smallest picocells on the market, supporting all GSM handsets.

  • Available in 900, 1800 or 1900MHz bands.
  • Up to 200mW output for coverage up to several hundred metres
  • Backhaul over broadband with a single Ethernet connection

nanoBTS EDGE/AMR – up to three times the data rate with EDGE support and up to three times the number of users with half rate AMR.

  • Triple data rates with EDGE support (coding MCS-1-9)
  • Triple the number of users with half-rate AMR
  • Single 10/100 Ethernet connection
  • The smallest footprint in the industry

Both basestations offer:

  • Indoor coverage up to 125,000m2
  • Low-cost IP backhaul
  • Simple deployment – using a single Ethernet connection for power, traffic and signaling.
  • Network Listen™ – supplements RF planning, allowing the planners to see into the difficult indoor environment to optimize coverage and avoid interference issues.
