The management system gives operators a complete view of the nano3G network. The key components are the Radio Operations & Maintenance Centre (OMC-R) and the AP Management System (AMS) – software products that run on standard hardware platforms. The OMC-R provides full control over picocell deployments:
- Cell creation.
- Configuration, activation and management of nano3G APs.
- Viewing and control of the Access Controllers in the network.
- Performance management
- Proactive monitoring and alarms, with alarm aggregation towards higher-level network management systems.
NTP servers may be provided for the derivation of precise frequency and time in the Access Points.
