ip.access celebrates success at Leading Lights awards
Cambridge, 17 October 2007 – ip.access (http://www.ipaccess.com/) , the market leader in picocell and femtocell technologies, is celebrating another Award win, in the “Leading Lights” Awards from telecoms news site Light Reading.
ip.access won the “Leading Light” Award for “Best New Product from a Private Company” for its Oyster 3G femtocell, a low-power home access point that dramatically improves 3G cellular coverage for voice and data services in the home.
The “Leading Light” award win is the latest in a string of high-profile business and industry achievements for ip.access in 2007. At the Global Mobile Congress in February, ip.access took home a Global Mobile award for the Oyster 3G. Last month, the Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 placed ip.access at 52 in its annual list of the 100 fastest-growing technology companies in the UK.
Winning the Leading Light Award means that ip.access is now on track for quadruple success in 2007 - it has also been shortlisted in the “Best Technology Foresight” category at the World Communications Awards, which are announced on November 28.
Commenting on the Award win, ip.access CEO Stephen Mallinson said, “We’re delighted to receive this award from Light Reading, which underscores the quality of the ip.access proposition and our status as both an innovator and a market-leader.
“This latest Award for the Oyster 3G reflects the massive interest in femtocells and clearly illustrates the impact that femtocell technology is set to have in the wireless eco-system, as a means of improving the mobile user experience at home.”
