ip.access seeks quadruple glory
Cambridge, 09 October, 2007 – ip.access, the market leader in picocell and femtocell technologies, is halfway to completing a rare ‘quadruple’ of technology award wins during 2007. The UK-based 3G innovators started the year by winning a technology accolade in the Global Mobile Awards and followed that up last month by securing a place in the coveted Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100. Now, the company has been shortlisted for two further industry awards: Best Technology Foresight in the World Communications Awards and Best New Product by a Private Company in Light Reading’s Leading Lights awards.
The awards focus on ip.access’ commercial growth and success with two key products: the nanoGSM® solution, which is the world's most deployed picocell, helping mobile operators improve coverage and capacity for enterprises, SMEs and public spaces and the recently launched Oyster 3G™ femtocell that extends these benefits into the home.
“It’s been a tremendous year for the ip.access team,” said Stephen Mallinson, CEO of ip.access. “It looks like we might need a new shelf in our trophy cabinet – nanoGSM has topped the league in popularity with operators around the world, and Oyster 3G opens up a whole new ball game for ip.access and the operators it serves.”
