ip.access CTO Nick Johnson To Address CommunicAsia 2007 Summit on "Femtocells for Pure Cellular Fixed Mobile Convergence"
Key conference presentation to focus on approaches to the implementation of femtocells for pure cellular FMC
CAMBRIDGE, UK - June 18, 2007 - ip.access, the market leader in cellular picocell technologies, today announces that Chief Technology Officer Nick Johnson will deliver a key conference address at CommunicAsia 2007, the International Communications and Information Technology Exhibition & Conference (19th - 22nd June, Singapore Expo).
The presentation, entitled "Approaches to the Implementation of Femtocells for Pure Cellular Fixed Mobile Convergence", will be given at the Suntec Centre at 2:00pm on Tuesday 19th June, as part of the CommunicAsia 2007 Summit. The presentation will explore the merits of the four main current approaches - Iub/IP, Flat-SIP, Embedded GAN client and Standard-Iu - and consider the impact of the different implementation approaches on issues such as scalability, support for handover with the macro network, performance over residential grade broadband, security, and bandwidth utilisation.
