Oyster 3G is compatible with standard 3G handsets, so there is no need for special, dualmode phones. Subscribers use the existing macro network outdoors, while enjoying improved quality and capacity at home.

How it works
Oyster 3G creates a complete 3G access network which repartitions the conventional 3GPP R5 architecture for use over the public internet. This 3G Converge™ architecture consists of:
