Femtocell
Femtocells are tiny, low power radio systems that plug into a residential broadband connection to provide a mobile phone signal directly in the home.
Picocell
Picocells are miniature cellular basestations that boost capacity and provide improved mobile phone coverage in localised areas. Applications include inside buildings, airports or underground train stations where coverage is poor; in shopping centres or high-rise buildings where there is a high concentration of users; in difficult to reach rural locations where it is uneconomical to deploy other solutions; or in airplanes and ships where size and weight is at a premium.
