Mobile users increasingly interested in data network quality

The performance of mobile data networks is becoming increasingly important to people, a commentator has noted.
SIRODA's Simon Page has recognised the large rise in mobile data demand that has been witnessed in the UK.
Mr Page's organisation recently studied the data speeds that are currently on offer to the country's mobile network users, with connection speeds the main area of focus.
By highlighting the performance of networks in a variety of regions, Mr Page believes that the research has thrown up some useful results.
He commented: "This nationwide survey reflects actual customer experience in the places where data is in most demand.
"Regularly testing in this way helps identify areas for investment."
A number of commentators have spoken about the large demand being placed on mobile data networks in recent times.
FierceWireless has noted that the issue of data offloading cropped up during the recent Mobile World Congress 2010 event in Spain.
