Increased mobile data use discussed at MWC 2010

Growing demand for mobile data was a key area of discussion at the recent Mobile World Congress 2010 event.

Writing in an article for Reuters, Tarmo Virki and Nicola Leske have commented on the fact that network operators are focusing on fixed mobile convergence solutions to respond to this demand.

Data revenues may not be growing in line with people's data use, they have noted.

"Complaints aired at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this week were all about cellphone network operators trying to find ways of profitably handling an explosion in mobile data traffic," the commentators have written in their Reuters piece.

Femtocells can offer an effective way for mobile users to ensure that they receive a good standard of 3G coverage from their network provider.

Network Norway is one of the latest operators which is set to offer the technology to some of its customers.ADNFCR-2406-ID-19626841-ADNFCR
