Femtocell technology might become a greater area of focus for various equipment developers in Taiwan, it is believed.
"The expanding mobile broadband application market" may be one factor that is causing firms to turn their attentions to the development of such products, Steve Shen and Irene Chen have highlighted in an article for DigiTimes.
In their news piece, the writers have cited "industry sources" as noting that Taiwanese companies could also be set to build more 3G data cards.
Meanwhile, products relating to LTE might additionally be something that a number of organisations are willing to put money into.
Femtocells will be up for discussion at this year's International CTIA Wireless 2010 event.
It was recently confirmed that the Femto Forum is to take part in the conference, with its Femto Zone and Femto Super Session to offer useful information to those attending the show.
