Enterprise femtocells may inspire greater domestic use

The benefits offered by enterprise femtocells might encourage a company's workers to adopt the technology in their homes, a commentator has asserted.
Writing in an article for RCR Wireless News, Peter Jarich has noted that the capabilities of enterprise femtocells are very similar to consumer products.
Mr Jarich, the Current Analysis service director, has written: "If 3G coverage indoors could drive 3G usage elsewhere, it's easy to assume that femtocell exposure at work could drive interest at home."
The expert has also used his RCR Wireless News piece to note the recent technological developments that might help enterprise femtocells become a more attractive option to mobile network operators.
Earlier in the month, it was announced that businesses in France that receive mobile services from Bouygues Telecom will soon be able to receive enhanced coverage and capacity through nanoGSM picocells from ip.access.
